I just got my mission call to the Jamaica Kingston Mission yesterday and I am super excited. I thought what a better way to learn about the mission that I am going to be serving in than to talk to return missionaries who have served there. I am to report to the MTC on August 8th, 2007. I was just wondering if Jamaica was the only island in the caribbean that this mission covers. Also, any other information about Jamaica would be much appreciated.

Who is the most recent RM who has served in Jamaica?

Congratulations! Your going to the most wonderful place/mission on earth! I've been home about 13 years now and there still is not a day that goes by that I do not think about jamaica.

The JKM covers all of Jamaica and Grand Cayman... As far as I know... I suppose the boundaries could have changed a little since I left but I don't think that they have. You should learn a lot about the mission and Jamaica in General by browsing through the content on this site.

Hey mon, I'm soon to be Elder Dove, I got my call this past week to the Jamaica Kingston mission. I enter at the end of june. what's your last name so i know when you come. One of my friends got called to Jamaica and I'm supposed to talk to him soon about it. I'll let you know so you have a head's up on what actually to take! I discovered that the mission is all of Jamaica and the Grand Cayman. The grand Cayman is the largest of the 3 Cayman islands. Primarly it's a tourist island, but has locals on it. Most of the grand cayman was destroyed a few years ago cause of Hurricane Ivan. And that's about all I know so far. Hope to see you in jamaica!!!! Later!!!

My boyfriend's in Jamaica. He just got there last Tuesday (24 April 2007). He went into the MTC on 4 April 2007. So far... he likes it! The food's not his favorite, but he loves the weather. I think the mission includes an island in the Bahamas too. He had to get a work permit for there as well. So... good luck you guys!

i'm also going to be serving in the kingston, jamaica mission and i will also report to the mtc aug. 8th...i'm super excited any advice on things i might want to pack or do to prepare for this particular mission?
